There are two Travel Sections in York u3a, run by volunteer members, in both cases the trips are open to ALL York u3a members.
Travel Abroad This is organised as small groups of u3a members to travel together on interesting itineraries chosen from the brochures of various travel companies. Members can suggest destinations. All trips are advertised via email. If you would like to travel abroad with like minded u3a members, contact the travel abroad group leader for further details or to sign up to receive updates of plans.
Travel UK Trips are organised by a team of members and in the past have included a five-day residential trip each year, usually by coach, exploring different areas in the UK, short breaks of 1 or 2 nights staying in a hotel, and a one day trip to a place of interest each month. For general enquiries contact travel uk, and for queries about a specific trip contact the relevant organiser who’s contact information appears with the trip details.
Future trips are listed below. Apply using the online or printed booking forms that are available on the detailed trips page or in a Newsmail. Places are allocated on a “random draw” basis.

The York u3a Travel team are having a break from day trips in July and August. We hope to include in the next Newsmail details of trips that will start again in September.
Terms and Conditions
1: Insurance. All members are responsible for arranging their own travel insurance to cover the cost of cancellation through sickness, personal injury accidents and loss of luggage or personal property.
2: Access and Hazards. The organiser will alert members of problems on the information forms.
3: Cancellations. If a trip is fully booked you will be contacted by phone and put on a waiting list. If a place becomes available you will be contacted again. Refunds for cancellations of booking can only be made if a replacement can be found.
